The Tigers: A team of fantastic boys that I have had the pleasure to see them develop from the age of 4 years old, as six of the boys including my son went to the same primary school Our Lady of Muswell (a catholic school which does not promote football). All joined a soccer school at Power League and after one year they progressed to the Adam Clift Coaching School. They were then given the opportunity to attend trails for Whetstone Wanderers YFC. The boys proved very successful and we were very grateful to Whetstone "a fantastic club" for giving us the opportunity to stay together and play as team B. Three more boys were added to the team from the Muswell Hill area and with me as Manager and Scott Cole as Coach the Tigers were complete.

2006-2007: In our first season we qualified for the top Red (Premier) Division. The boys played well and excelled themselves; their level of football was a pleasure to watch. After a hard fought season we finished Red Division Champions, a point above the Pumas (team A) we think it's the first time the B side has finished above the A side in the clubs history. Any manager will tell you, the league title is the one to win as it shows consistency over the entire season (ask Alex Ferguson). The boys made me, their parents and the Club very proud.

2007-2008: Having earned the right to be duly recognised as the A team, we then lost one of our teammates Keagan Cole who signed for Chelsea and Scott our coach and we wish them well. We were not given much hope of success this season. But we proved we are not a one man team as some suggested, so with the help of terrific parents, we as a unit are very strong and believe in each other. We started this season with just the bare seven players and began where we left the last, competing with the best and producing a very high standard of football. Midway through the season we added Marcus Edwards a very talented attacking midfielder. The boys excelled once more and we are again sitting proudly at the top of the league by some six points as  Red (Premier) Division Champions.

 Under 9 Red Division Champs
2008-2009: We start the season again as  Red (Premier) Division Champions.  We say goodbye to Dylan Birlison and Marcus Edwards who has signed for Spurs (thanks for the special memories) and welcome Ben Jerreat as our new goalkeeper, Ned Clarke a forward and James Flint a midfielder, we are sure they all will enjoy playing for the team and help the Tigers to further success.

This season as under 10’s we were also eligible to enter the London FA County Cup alongside the domestic league trophies. This became our priority to do well. Having proved ourselves the best in the Watford Friendly League, we would now put ourselves up against the best in London. Following a long and successful campaign, travelling all over London, competing against London’s best clubs the boys reached the London FA County Cup Final, played at Mile End Stadium on March 29th, our worthy opponents Crown & Manor Boys. The final was a typical one, very cagey; we went ahead with a first half goal scored by Kory. Crown and Manor hit back to make it 1-1 midway through the second half, but the tie was settled by a goal worthy of winning any cup final at any level made by Johnie scored by Luca, a 2-1 victory with 30 seconds remaining to crown the Tigers London FA County Cup Winners 2008-2009. This represents a great achievement as it is only the second County Cup ever won in the club's history. A great occasion enjoyed by the Tigers, friends and families capped by bringing the London FA County Cup home.

League Cup Final: held at Sun Postal Sports Club Watford May 3rd. This was a special occasion as it was the first time the Tigers had met the Pumas in a major final. Both teams have quality and there can only be one winner. The game kicked off and from the whistle we set out a controlled confident performance. Every boy worked for their teammates and their football was a pleasure to watch. Our first goal was created by Johnnie and scored by Chris; 1-0 we could easily have been 3 or 4 up by the end of first half. After the break we had numerous opportunities to extend our lead our much deserved second goal came midway through the second half. Kory beat three players and powered a low shot passed their keeper. 2-0 game over. A fantastic performance all round. Tigers crowned League Cup Winners 2008-2009.

League Cup Winners 2008-2009
Red (Premier) Division: The boys have had their hardest season to retain the Red (Premier) Division Title due to their success in all the cup competitions, we were left with a mountain to climb having played one league game up until the end Feb 09 and our league rivals were some 20 points ahead of us in the title race. The WFL were left with no alternative but to issue us with a fixture full of double headers and mid-week matches as this was the only way to complete our remaining matches on time. The boys stepped up for the huge task set before them. Ploughing through fixture after fixture along with the County and domestic Cups competitions, the boys produced a tremendous effort, but coming to the end of April we were still 16pts behind the leaders with six games to go.  We needed 5 wins and a draw to retain our title. We were playing the dangerous game of catch up. We have a wonderful sense of belief which flows throughout our entire team set up and parents. We believed if anyone can achieve this we can! The boys remained focused and began to claw back the points. Remarkably they gained the results they needed to claim their third straight Red (Premier) Division Title in a row. This unbelievable team spirit and never say die attitude is truly something very special. We are extremely proud and feel the boys should be truly honoured by being crowned again Red (Premier) Division Champions 2008-2009

Challenge Cup Final: held at Sun Postal Sports Club Watford May 10th. After an extraordinary season by all accounts the season draws to a close. The finale, The Challenge Cup final: Tigers v Croxley Guild FC. The boys are in a position to achieve the unthinkable, undisputed Quadruple. No team in any division at any age has ever completed The Quadruple, London FA County Cup, League Cup,Red (Premier) Division Title and Challenge Cup in the same season. We started well going close in the first minute. Many chances were created to open the scoring; it came from Ned Clarke just before half time, quick feet good finish. In the second half we controlled the game. Croxley battle hard but gave away a free kick just by the halfway line from which Rio fired home. Croxley grabbed a consolation goal 4 minutes from time. The game ended 2-1 and Tigers were crowned Challenge Cup Winners 2008-2009. The unprecedented quadruple was complete. This is unparallel to any other achievement by any other team at any age group. They are an exceptional group of talented boys, with an unmatched belief to succeed.

2009-2010: What a season we have to follow, The Unprecedented QUADRUPLE CHAMPIONS 2008-2009. Last season will be always remembered in the Tigers history, an unbelievable Record breaking, History making year. This season the Tigers make the transition to 11 a-side football. This will be a big step up for the boys and hopefully with hard work and belief we will try our best to do well. We say goodbye to Ben Jerreat and welcome back Dylan Birlison as our goalkeeper and Anton Baleanu an attacking midfielder who played for the Tigers at under 8’s and Keagan Cole, back with the Tigers from his Chelsea experience. We have also added Ryan Kukoyi, Taylor Montgomery, Robbie Dalgleish and Andre Tejuoso I hope they all will enjoy the opportunity they have earned to be part of this successful squad of boys.

2010-2011: After completing our first season in 11-a-side football, we narrowly missed out on another Quadruple. We say goodbye to Ned Clarke, Robbie Dalgleish and Andre Tejuoso, we wish them well. We welcome Chika Odele, Laurie Wastell, Joe White and Luke Duckworth a proven striker into our attack. I hope they will enjoy the opportunity after successful trials to be part of this exceptional squad of boys.

The way of the Tigers
We always played fairly and our sportsmanship was second to none, win lose or draw. Our philosophy is that we play good football; we do not condone bad language or unsporting behaviour. We give 100%; play to enjoy and to win. Winning breathes confidence not only on the pitch but also in school and day to day performance, which we hope will help them develop into fine young men.

Special thanks to all parents for your help and commitment, without you there would be no Tigers.
