Players Wanted
Whetstone Wanderers Youth FC was formed in 1991 and currently provides football for about 350 young people. The players train midweek with matches being played on Sundays. Our Boys teams compete in the Watford Friendly League and the Girls team is a member of the Home Counties Girls League. We also run a Unified team which provides football for people with learning difficulties.
We are a Registered Charity and an FA Charter Standard Club run entirely by volunteers who have all been CRB checked and we were awarded Community Club Status in January 2012. This is the highest category available in amateur youth football.
The ethos of the Club is that young people should get a chance to play football in a safe environment where fair play is encouraged and players join us knowing that they will not be replaced when a better player comes along.
Under 8 to Under 13 Boys Teams are open to both boys and girls while Under 14 teams are for boys only in accordance with FA rules.
UNDER 7 Trials
We will be holding trials in April 2012 for boys and girls who are currently in School Years 1 and 2.
Saturday 14 April - 1-30 to 3 pm
Saturday 21 April - 1-30 to 3 pm
Trials take place at the Woodside Park Club - Southover N12 7JG
Players must wear full football kit together with shin pads.
